Menovē ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you use the Menovē website at menove.app and the Menovē mobile application (the "Service").
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: name, email address, and password when you create an account or join our waitlist.
- Wellness content: symptom check-ins, mood logs, journal entries, chat messages with Mona, and other content you voluntarily submit inside the Service.
- Payment information: if you purchase a subscription or founding-member reservation, payment is processed by Stripe or the applicable app store. We do not store your full card number.
- Usage and device data: information about how you use the Service (pages visited, features used, timestamps) and basic device information (device type, OS version, browser type) collected automatically.
- Communications: messages you send us via the contact form or email.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Provide, personalize, and improve the Service, including generating insights from your symptom tracking;
- Process payments, manage subscriptions, and fulfill founding-member benefits;
- Send you service-related communications (account notices, billing, product updates, and, with your consent, marketing emails);
- Respond to your questions, feedback, and support requests;
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Service providers that help us operate the Service (e.g., hosting, analytics, email delivery, payment processing, customer support). These providers are bound by contractual obligations to use your information only to perform services for us.
- Payment processors such as Stripe and Apple for subscription billing.
- Email platforms such as Klaviyo to deliver newsletters and product communications you have opted into.
- Legal and safety authorities when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Menovē, our users, or others.
- Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction, subject to equivalent privacy protections.
4. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access and receive a copy of your data;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Delete your account and associated data;
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any marketing email;
- Restrict or object to certain processing activities.

5. Data security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and secure cloud infrastructure — to protect your information. No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to safeguard your data and will notify you and the appropriate authorities in the event of a breach affecting your personal information.
6. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.
7. Children’s privacy
Menovē is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at hello@menove.app and we will delete it.
8. International users
Menovē is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be processed in the U.S. and may be subject to U.S. law. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
